Why use one or more types of motivation like motivational speaking on a daily basis? Why make it a priority?
"Once you decide that something is a priority, you give it tremendous emotional intensity, and by continually focusing on it, any resource that supports its attainment will eventually become clear" Tony Robbins, "Awaken the Giant Within", page 288
Making something a priority focuses our energies on that item. Attaching the right meaning to your priorities is critical for achieving your personal goals.
The good news is that you can choose your meanings in life.
"This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." Deuteronomy 30:19, Holy Bible, New International Version
Making the right choices with the right meanings can inspire you when challenges occur.
Self Motivation Technique Using Different Types of Motivation
1. The first step is to find something positive and uplifting, like scripture, to focus your thoughts and words upon. Confess it out loud as a motivational speech; your words are powerful.
2. The second step to find a way to remind yourself of your dreams and positive focus. Your spoken word is one way to do this. Another suggestion is to develop a poster of your dreams, goals, and positive affirmations. Your poster will continually remind you of your commitment to an outstanding life.
3. The third step is find a regular time each day to take action to do something positive. It could be the start of your day, the end of your day, or somewhere in between. However it must be a consistent time to make a difference in your life. It could be 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour. Tony Robbins calls it an "hour of power". During your hour of power you could read, study, meditate, confess, pray, or do anything to supercharge your day. This could be your time with God.
4. The fourth thing is to focus on a positive action if you face a challenge in your day. This focus will build strength of faith to overcome the challenge. All things are possible to him (or her) who believes.
5. The final step is to be accountable to others for your actions. Accountability provides the discipline to stay committed to your daily hour of power.
So you've used the following types of motivation:
1. A positive foundation of beliefs
2. Your positive, written words of your beliefs
3. Positive repetition and focus
4. Positive focus when challenges occur
5. Positive role models to hold you accountable
