"...To become financially secure, a person needs to mind their own business..."
Robert Kiyosaki, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", Page 87
In his book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" Robert Kiyosaki talked about the importance of buying an asset. An asset is something that puts money in your pocket. One of the assets is a business.
Robert's message about business was also discussed in his book "Cash Flow Quadrant". Kiyosaki's book mentioned four ways to generate income in life.
Kiyosaki's 4 basic ways to generate income in life
1. E-->You work for someone as an employee
2. S-->You work for yourself as a self-employed person
3. B-->You're a business owner who owns an income generating system
4. I-->You're an investor who has money work for you.
As an E or S if you don't work you don't get paid.
In the beginning it takes a lot of money and knowledge to be a successful I.
In the beginning it takes a lot of long hours and some money to build a new business to be a successful B.
Once a B person builds a successful business it eventually takes less time and effort to grow the business. A successful I and B eventually develop what is called leveraged income. Leveraged income occurs when you take less and less time to grow a business. However you still receive income whether you work or not.
So the recommended goal to develop your small business ideas in this small business start up guide is to develop a successful business system.
On page 69 of the Cash Flow Quadrant book Kiyosaki mentions 3 types of business systems.
