Business Logo Ideas
For Your Business Concept

Logo Definition

Your business logo ideas allow you to develop creative ways to stand out or differentiate yourself in the marketplace.

"A logo...is a graphical element, symbol, or icon that, together with its logotype...form a trademark or brand. A typical logo is designed to cause immediate recognition by the viewer. The logo is one aspect of the brand of a company or economic entity, and the shapes, colors, fonts and images are usually different from others in a similar market."
Wikipedia

To create a business logo is to create your trademark. It represents your concept to the marketplace. Your business logo ideas can be developed into the symbol of all that you stand for. A simple, but powerful logo easily identifies you to anyone, anywhere. So what are some rules when you create a business logo?

Logo Rules

1. A logo is easy to read-->The best logos can be read no matter how big or small they are. Fed Ex is an example.

2. A logo uses simple colors-->Simple colors are needed for a successful logo. IBM is an example.

3. A logo defines who you are-->Simple but easy to recognize. The NFL logo as an example.

As an example, maybe your business idea is your knowledge of warm weather beaches. So your company logo could look like the following:

Logo Creation

1. Brainstorm ideas. Record the ideas on paper or on a computer software package. Think about the colors and the impact it will have on others. Does it follow the logo rules?

2. Make sure the logo will look good if it is reduced in size. Would it look good if printed in black and white?

3. Find people who will give an honest opinion of your logo.

4. Make sure the logo will look good on your web site, business cards, blog, e-book, or any marketing materials for your business.

5. Make sure the logo will fit into a web site you may create for your business. An example size might be a logo saved as a .gif file that is no wider then 750 pixels and no higher than 140 pixels.

5. Make sure you or someone can create the logo. Logos could cost anywhere from $30 to $750 if you don't do it yourself.

Save your logo as an idea for your concept.
